Long overdue update
Short story...we have a baby!! Grace arrived on January 28 at 1:23pm. Long story would be super long so I won't go into huge details, especially since its been so long since I've updated. My water broke at 1am and we headed to the hospital. Turns out the amniotic sac had only torn so the doctor broke it the rest of the way around 8ish. Then my contractions really started. They weren't regular and the doctor wanted to start pitocin to get them regular so I opted for the epidural before starting the pitocin. I was 6cm when I got the epidural and 30 min after starting pitocin I was 10cm and started pushing. I only pushed 20-30 min and out she came! I'll spare you the other gross details. All that matters is that she was healthy and is perfect!
She is going to be 5 weeks old tomorrow and on one hand it's gone really fast and on the other hand I feel like I've had her forever and don't know what I did all day without her. She has already rolled over from tummy to back, has smiled at me, and is the busiest newborn I've ever seen. She is constantly moving and acts like a 3 month old actually. She has changed my life and I love her so much.
I can't believe how blessed me and Avery to have this perfect little person. It is such a miracle and still amazing to me how one day she was growing perfectly inside me and the next she is outside. How can you see that process and not believe in God?
I'll try to be more frequent with my posts, but she is still in the phase that I never know how long she will sleep so it's hard for me to update and honestly I'd rather sleep whenever I get a few minutes! Hope everyone (my 2 readers) is doing great!
